about

Three decades on the factory floor

Founded in 1996 by Mr. Sunil Jain, a textile engineer by training, Digamber Polymers grew into one of the few fully integrated manufacturers of plastic spools for the electrical industry — design, tooling, and moulding, all handled in-house.

Our unit in Greater Noida runs machines from Electronica and Toyo with clamping capacities from 80 to 530 tons, covering everything from a small PT-1 bobbin to a 355mm monofilament spool without switching suppliers.

ranges in spoolz

Where our spools carry the load

Built for winding and transporting electric cables, monofilaments, fibre-optic cables, stranded and copper wires, metal tapes, and wire ropes.

Enamelled Wire

High wire-carrying capacity for continuous coil and copper winding lines.

Welding Wire

Consistent pay-off for MIG/MAG welding wire on automated and semi-automated lines.

Monofilament

Rugged flanges built for rough handling during export and storage.

3D Printing Filament

Consistent-diameter spools that feed smoothly through FDM/FFF printer extruders.

Optical Fibres

Precision winding surfaces that protect fine fibre from micro-bends in transit.

Medical Suture

Clean, consistent moulding suited to controlled, sterile production runs.

product families

Three series, one integrated line

From heavy-duty transport bobbins to spools built for automated welding lines, each series is engineered and moulded in-house.

questions we hear often

FAQ

Do you offer coloured spools?

Yes — we manufacture coloured spools and lids so customers can tell batches apart in inventory. Coloured variants can carry a slightly higher cost and longer lead time.

Can spools be customised with a company logo?

Yes. We offer custom branding on request, typically engraved or moulded directly into the flange or lid so it holds up over the spool's working life.

How much do the spools cost?

Pricing depends on raw material prices, batch quantity, and spool size and material grade. Send us your specifications and we'll quote accurately.

Why do PPCP and ABS spools sometimes break with oiled wires?

Certain lubrication and protection oils attack PPCP and ABS chemically over time. For oiled monofilaments or heavy-lubrication environments, we recommend glass-filled polyamide (PA) spools, which hold up better both mechanically and chemically.

What is the lifespan of a spool?

There's no fixed figure — it depends on the number of reuses, material, output tension and RPM, contact with oils or chemicals, and temperature. In practice, spools last anywhere from under a year to over twenty, depending on how they're used.

When should a spool be replaced?

Retire a spool immediately if the flanges are cracked, the barrel has elongated, warping or deformation is visible, or its mechanical strength is in doubt. A visual check before every reuse is good practice.

Do you make one-way or disposable transport spools?

Yes — lightweight, cost-optimised spools built mainly for a single transport cycle, though depending on the application they may hold up for reuse too.
